Kids 'N' Critters

These programs introduce youngsters to the many wonders of our natural environment through stories, puppets, songs and outdoor hands-on activities.

Ages 3 to  5 with adult

Location:  Battle Creek Cypress Swamp.

Reservations are required

Fee per child:  $3.00 ;  BCNES members $1.00

Snack will be provided

Awesome Owls!

 Owls really are awesome!  They have special feathers, great hearing, and can fly at night!  Come learn more about these special birds and meet Battle Creek’s captive owl in person.

             How can we tell what animals have been visiting us?  Sometimes they leave behind clues that we can discover if we know what to look for.  Come try your hand a being a nature detective!  Dress for the weather.

 

 
 

Dr. Seuss Birthday Party

 March 2 is the great author’s birthday!  If you are a fan of Cat in the Hat or One Fish, Two Fish – join us for this fun class to look at some of the different kinds of animals in Dr. Seuss’ stories.  Are any of our real animals similar?  Come dressed for an outdoor adventure!
