Nature Puppet Playtime

For children 18 months to 5 years

This program meets the 1st Monday of the month and introduces children to the natural world with puppets, stories and exploration.  

 

Location:  Battle Creek Cypress Swamp.  

Reservations are required

Fee:  $3.00/ BCNES members $1.00

Our Feathered Friends

Monday, January 9                                     10:00  - 11:00 a.m.

                 Discover which feathered friends are visiting the nature center this winter.  Join the Cypress Swamp puppets and friends as they teach you the calls of common winter birds. Enjoy a story and spend some time exploring the nature center before taking a short hike.

 

 
 

Teddy Bear Tea Party

 

 

 

Monday, February 6                            10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

                 Bring your teddy bear or another stuffed animal friend to the nature center for a "tea party.You can get dressed up (maybe not in your best clothes though) or play dress-up while you're here.   We’ll enjoy warm drinks and cookies and go for a walk with our stuffed friends.

 

 
 

Who Comes From An Egg?Alligator Hatching Clip Art

Monday, March 5                                     10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

                 Join the Battle Creek puppets and friends as they talk about animals that lay eggs.  There will also be eggs-citing indoor activities to choose from and an outdoor eggs-curs ion to look for places where animals might lay eggs.
