Ages 12-16 years old

Friday, October 21, 7:00 a.m. through Saturday, October 22, 5:00 p.m.

Mandatory pre-trip meeting on Thursday, October 6 at 6:30 pm at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp.

Assateague Island is poised between the land and the sea - recreated each day by ocean, wind, and waves. Kayak the coastal bay, camp in the sand dunes, cook dinner over a fire, and explore the beach at night.

Fee per child:
Society members pay $40 per person.
Nonmembers pay $60.

Please register by October 3

Each child must be registered separately.

Packing list and other trip info will be provided.

Location: meets at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp then we'll travel by van to Assateague Island

Additional details

Provide your own lunch Friday. Dinner Friday, snacks, breakfast and lunch Saturday provided. Tents provided – must have own sleeping bag.

 


The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
