Marsh Plant Exploration Kayak Trip

For Ages 9 years to adult

Participants must be at least 9 years old to accompany an adult in a double kayak, and at least 12 years old to ride in a single kayak. Those under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Come explore the marsh surrounding Cocktown Creek in its early summer glory.  We will focus on marsh plant ID and uses.  With luck, we will see the marsh hibiscus and the pickeral weed in bloom.

Location: King's Landing Park Meet at the parking lot by the pool

Reservations and payment are required by June 11.

Fee is per person.
$15 for members
$30 for nonmembers
$5 if you bring your own kayak

Due to the limited number of kayaks, we may not be able to accommodate your kayak preference. There is a chance that the demand for kayaks exceeds our capacity. If we are unable to fit you into the trip, you will receive a full refund.

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
