For Ages: All Ages
Adult participation is encouraged, but not required.

Program Fee:
Free for BCNES members
$8 per family for nonmembers

Meet at the beach at Flag Ponds to find out about many of the fossils we have here at Flag Ponds Park. Learn about the Miocene Epoch and the animals that lived during that time. After the instructional time, use your observational skills in an outdoor setting to try and find some fossils on the beach that you can take home yourself! Please dress for the weather.

Reservations are required. Register online, by mail, email to cypressswamp@co.cal.md.us or by phone 410-535-5327.

These programs are open to boys and girls who belong to a scout troop. Adult participation is encouraged, but not required.

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
