Location: Battle Creek Cypress Swamp

It's time for our annual visit to the creek!  We will wade in with nets in search of animals like crayfish, waterbugs, and fish.  This is a great oportunity to explore a little-visited part of the park.  Come prepared for wading - kids and adults both.

Wear old sneakers or sandals that won't get sucked off in the mud.  Bring a towel and cloths for the way home.

Program Fee:
Free for BCNES members
$8 per family for nonmembers

Advanced Reservations are required - Please register by July 28

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
