For All Ages

Learn how to help scientists study moth communities worldwide.  You will have an opportunity to hike the swamp at night and see moths and other nocturnal inhabitants.  Bring a flashlight and a camera if you would like to submit your mothing data. 

Location: Battle Creek Cypress Swamp

Reservations are required by Wednesday, September 17. Register online, by email, by mail, or by phone, 410-535-5327. Please register all adults and kids that are coming.

Program Fee:  
Free for BCNES members & current volunteers
$8 per family for nonmembers

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
