Hike to the Big Cypress

Registration is closed

Ages 8 and up; Children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult

The naturalist will lead you on a hike off-trail through the swamp so that you can see the big cypress that is over 500 years old.  You will need to wear hip boots or waders since you will be wading across the creek and through the swampy waters.  We have a limited supply that you can borrow, or bring your own.

Free for members
$8 per family for nonmembers

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
