Registration

This project has been cancelled due to winter weather. A new date will be posted soon.

All ages, under 18 with adult

The Money Crop Trail, located along the Rolling Road at Biscoe Gray Heritage Farm, invites visitors to walk in the same footpaths that farmers drove oxen, mules, and horse-drawn carts over 250 years ago.

Join other volunteers in helping staff clear this nature trail. We’ll provide tools and gloves, but you’re welcome to bring your own.

The work site is about 1 mile from the parking area. Depending on ground conditions and weather, transportation to the site will be by van.

The plan is for visitors to explore this Rolling Road, where they will encounter exhibits inside the barn, a series of wayside exhibits along the trail and sculptures that will help them understand the connections between the Battle Creek waterfront, the tobacco fields, and the barns and houses that are found on the site today.

Location: Biscoe Gray Heritage Farm

Program is free.

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
