A special opportunity for our Calvert Stewards volunteers that have assisted with MAPS or other bird banding projects. 

Ever wanted to see some of your favorite birds up close? Join us on a visit to a migration banding station. Researchers will be collecting data and processing over 100 birds in a day! We will meet at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp then travel to the banding station near Chestertown, MD. We will stop for lunch on the way back in Chestertown or Kent Island.

Location: Meet at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp.

Naturalist in charge: Gene Groshon

Reservations are required by Monday, September 23

Program is free.
