Ages 11-13,  Grades 6-8

Have you ever been to any of our county nature parks? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work there or in other natural places? Do you love plants and animals? If so come join me, a naturalist, at some of our locations to dive into some of the careers in this exciting field. From March to May this program will meet every first Saturday of the month. Each time we meet we will be exploring something new and different than the time before! Make sure to sign up for each event if you want to join us each time!

Location: Battle Creek Cypress Swamp

Advanced Reservations are required - Please register by March 25.

Fee is per person.

COVID Policies and Procedures

The Calvert Nature Society has developed policies and procedures for public program operations based on state and CDC guidelines.

  • Please consider the safety, health, and well-being of all participants in our programs and stay home if the participant is ill. Full refunds will be given for cancellations due to health concerns. 
  • Prior to participation in any Society sponsored program,  we will ask each individual, to if under 18 a parent, to complete a participant waiver.

Please download and complete the waiver prior to the program. Please print it and bring to the program. The waiver needs to be completed for each in-person program.

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
