Forest Ecology
Adults and older teens only

Location: Hughes Tree Farm
1320 Clay Hammond Road, Prince Frederick

As we explore the trails of the Bennett O. Hughes Memorial Tree Farm, we’ll take time to learn how to identify the trees and shrubs, how they benefit the forest and wildlife, and learn what steps you can take on your own woodlot to create a sustainable forest. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable hiking shoes for this all outdoor program.

Directions will be sent to all who register.

Program Fee:
Free for BCNES members
$8 per person for nonmembers

Reservations are required. Register by 2 pm Friday, October 25. Register online, email or by phone 410-535-5327. Fee is per person; may be paid online, or on day of event.

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
