This is a perfect trip for beginners to learn about kayaking and get out on the water.  We will focus on basic kayak skills and the ecology of the Patuxent River.

Ages 9 years to adult

Participants must be at least 9 years old to accompany an adult in a double kayak, and at least 12 years old to ride in a single kayak. Those under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Location: Kings Landing Park Meet at the parking lot by the pool

Members Registration opens February 18, 2019. Nonmembers Registration opens March 4. Reservations and payment are required in advance.

Program Fee (per person)

$15 for Society members
$30 for nonmembers

Bring your own kayak and get $10 off the program fee.

Due to the limited number of kayaks, we may not be able to accommodate your kayak preference. There is a chance that the demand for kayaks exceeds our capacity. If we are unable to fit you into the trip, you will receive a full refund.
