Weather Policy. Most programs are held rain or shine. For winter weather, if Calvert County schools or government are closed, programs are canceled. If there is a delayed opening, morning programs are canceled. We try to post cancellations as timely as possible.
Calvert Nature Society will refund payments made for program fees over $10.00 when the cancellation occurs a month before the event. Program fees under $10 will not be refunded. If the cancellation incurs bank or PayPal fees, that cost will be deducted from the refund.
Refunds are available only for transactions involving the purchase of goods and services. Dues payments are not refundable.
If the Society or Calvert County cancels a program, a full refund will be given.
Some Common Questions
I want to register my child for a program that does not require my participation. What should I do? Include the child's name and age in the spaces provided. If provided, complete the box asking if you are planning to attend or not.
How to Register More than One Person for an Event? For programs that are "per family" your one registration can include all the adults and children you plan to bring to the program. Include all children and their ages in the boxes provided on the registration field.
How to Register Online For Programs that have a "Per Person" Fee? This includes summer camps, kayak trips, teen programs and some special events. Some events do not allow "guest registrations" but require each participant to register separately. You can register multiple attendees under your account. To do so, before paying, return to the event registration page after confirming each registration.
I'm a Member, can I register a Nonmember for a Program? We ask that Members do not use their membership account to register nonmembers. You will have to log off the web site, and enter a new registration for the Nonmember (which will require their email address)
Please do not register another family's child (grandparents are considered family!). If you are a guardian you can register an unrelated child.
