The Maryland Amphibian and Reptile Atlas, also known as the "Herp Atlas," is a five year project to identify all the species of amphibians and reptiles in the state and document where each species is found.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Anyone can help with this project! Just send reports of sightings to the Calvert County coordinator at brownaj@co.cal.md.us. Include date, location, and time spent searching. Even sightings on the road are valuable records (even if they are dead). Note some species require photographs and they are noted on the species list (pdf).
