This activities is also open to families with older children (under 16 with an adult participation)

If you’re looking to get more involved with the parks here in the county or would just like an excuse to spend some time in the woods – we can always need to new volunteers to check our salamander traps. Come find out what it takes to be involved and help refurbish our salamander traps for the spring season. This is a great opportunity for home school students interested in the environment and animals.

Location: Flag Ponds Nature Park

Bring snacks and lunch. Wear clothes that can get dirty and comfortable shoes for working on the traps.

Advanced registration is required. Register online, by mail, by email, or in person (at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp)
