Summer Camp: Patuxent Paddlers (CANCELLED)

For children going into grades 9-12

  • Wednesday, July 5 (8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
  • Thursday, July 6, 8:30 a.m. overnight through Friday, July 7, 12:00 p.m. 
  • no camp after 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7

This short and intense mini-camp will bring teens up-close and personal with the Patuxent River.  The first day will be spent learning paddling fundamentals: safety, strokes, and rescues. Then we’ll test our skills and learn about the natural history of the river with a paddle adventure and an overnight camp-out on the river.

Dinner Thursday, breakfast Friday, all kayak equipment, and tents are provided.

Wednesday – Kings Landing Park
Thursday - meets at Kings Landing Park for transport to Lower Marlboro lunch site
Friday – pick up at Kings Landing Park
