Teen Homeschool Day - Leave No Trace

Ages 12-16 years, no adult needed

The skills covered under Leave No Trace (LNT) can help teens develop a sense of stewardship for the nature world while helping them to understand how to be safe and make responsible decisions on their outdoor adventures. This class will cover the basics of LNT including how to plan ahead and prepare, to dispose of waste properly outdoors, and how to hike and camp in a sustainable manner.

Location: Battle Creek Cypress Swamp

Program Fee is per person:

  • Free for Society members
  • $8 per person for nonmembers

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
