For All Ages
Commemorating the freedom of those who, with the help of the British, fled slavery during the War of 1812.
The daylong celebration includes:
- A walking tour
- Woodworking Demonstrations
- Exhibits at the historic Lower Marlboro United Methodist Church and the Lower Marlboro Hall
- Food Vendor
- Naturalist-led kayak tours: 12:00-1:30 and 2:00-3:30. Kayaks, paddles and life vests provided. Please wear clothes and shoes that can get wet; no Crocs or flip flops.
Ample free parking available.
