for students in grades 6-8

Friday, October 18, 7:00 a.m. through Saturday, October 19, 4:00 p.m.

Mandatory pre-trip meeting for all participants and their families (even those who have gone on the trip before) on Thursday, October 3 at 6:30 pm at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp

Assateague Island is poised between the land and the sea - recreated each day by ocean, wind, and waves. Teens will kayak the coastal bay, camp in the sand dunes, cook dinner over a fire, and explore the beach at night.

Fee per child:
Society members pay $40 per person.
Nonmembers pay $60.

Please register by September 26

Each child must be registered separately.

Location: meets at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp then we'll travel by van to Assateague Island

Additional details

Provide your own lunch Friday. Dinner Friday, snacks, breakfast and lunch Saturday provided. Tents provided – must have own sleeping bag.

Packing list can be found here in October and will be emailed to participants in the fall.
