For ages 12-16

Spend part of spring break with friends searching the woods, ponds, and swamps for animals big and small. If you like to search for animals, and you don’t mind getting dirty in the process, come on down. 

Includes:

  • Hands-on experience cooking dinner together over a campfire.
  • Night-time swamp wade-in to look for salamanders and peepers.
  • Indoor, as well as, outdoor activities.
  • Campfire dinner, s'mores, and breakfast included, but bring lunch and a snack for Thursday.

*We will be sleeping in the building*

COVID Policies and Procedures 

The Calvert Nature Society has developed policies and procedures for public program operations based on state and CDC guidelines. 

Please consider the safety, health, and well-being of all participants in our programs and stay home if the participant is ill. Full refunds will be given for cancellations due to health concerns. 

Prior to participation in any Society sponsored program,  we will ask each individual, to if under 18 a parent, to complete a participant waiver.

Please download and complete the waiver prior to the program. You may complete it online and email to CypressSwamp@CalvertCountyMD.gov, or print it and bring to  the program.  The waiver needs to be completed for each in-person program.

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
