For families with children ages 10 & up. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us for a chance to see horseshoe crabs on the beach at their peak spawning time! This program is geared toward nature-loving night owls, and will include fun night time activities like a campfire with s'mores and a beach walk around 11 p.m. The evening will culminate with a campout at Flag Ponds Nature Park. Tents will be provided for each family. A light breakfast will be provided Saturday morning.

Friday, June 10th at 7:00 p.m. (eat dinner before you come) until Saturday, June 11th at 9:00 a.m.

The Calvert Nature Society has developed policies and procedures for public program operations based on state and CDC guidelines. 

Please consider the safety, health, and well-being of all participants in our programs and stay home if the participant is ill. Full refunds will be given for cancellations due to health concerns. 

Prior to participation in any Society sponsored program,  we will ask each individual, or if under 18 a parent, to complete a participant waiver.

Please download and complete the waiver prior to the program. You may complete it online and email to CypressSwamp@CalvertCountyMD.gov, or print it and bring to  the program.  The waiver needs to be completed for each in-person program.
