For families with children ages 10 & up

Experience the magic of a beachfront overnight campout while searching for horseshoe crabs during their peak spawning season. Roam the shoreline, encounter these ancient creatures, and uncover their remarkable history. It's sure to be a thrilling and educational journey under the stars that you won't want to miss.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Families must bring their own tent with stakes designed to be used in sand. Campsite is approximately 0.25 miles from nearest running water, bathroom, and equipment drop-off spot. Only pack what you can carry this distance- beach carts are allowed. A detailed packing list will be sent to participants a week before the program. A light breakfast will be provided.

The Calvert Nature Society has developed policies and procedures for public program operations based on state and CDC guidelines.

Please consider the safety, health, and well-being of all participants in our programs and stay home if the participant(s) are ill. Full refunds will be given for cancellations due to health concerns.

Prior to participation in any Society sponsored program, we will ask each individual, if under 18 a parent, to agree to the participant waiver. The waiver agreement needs to be completed for each in-person program.
