Beach Full Moon Hike

For individuals and families of all ages. Infants and toddlers in backpacks are welcome, but these hikes are NOT stroller friendly.

Start the year off with a hike to see the first full moon of 2026.  We will hike down to the beach to watch the moon as it rises above the Chesapeake Bay. Whether you're a seasoned night hiker or a first timer, come discover the allure of the night and make memories that will linger long after the moon sets. 


Location: Flag Ponds Nature Park

Advanced registration is required. Please register by Wednesday, December 31.

Program Fee: 

$5 per household.

Please consider the safety, health, and well-being of all participants in our programs and stay home if the participant(s) are ill. Full refunds will be given for cancellations due to health concerns.

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
