For children entering grades 4th thru 6th in fall 2026

Whether your camper is already a trail-blazer or needs a little nudge to step off the sidewalk, this outdoor skills camp builds confidence, curiosity, and real-world know-how. Throughout the week, we’ll dive into the natural wonders of Calvert County while learning the essential skills that help adventurers stay safe, smart, and self-reliant in the “wild.”

Campers will practice hands-on navigation, craft shelters from natural materials, cast a line while learning basic fishing skills, and master the fundamentals of fire safety and first aid. They’ll discover the art of reading the woods by identifying wildlife signs and unraveling the hidden stories animals leave behind. Campers can try their hand at archery, campfire cooking, cruise the creek in a kayak and immerse themselves in plenty of muddy, sun-splashed exploration. It’s the perfect recipe for a week full of adventure.

Gear up—there’s a whole world waiting just beyond the trail!

Naturalist In Charge: Jessy Oberright

Location: Kings Landing Park

Fee per camper:
