Hunting Opportunities

A limited deer hunting season is open at Flag Ponds Nature Park.

Maryland Permit Required
Vertical Bow and Crossbow hunting only.
Daily permits are issued by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
No Sunday hunting.
A maximum of five hunters per day are permitted.
The hunting is restricted to the north section of the park, between Woodland Branch and the cliff line (North Ridge Trail).
Hunters park in the designated parking areas outside the gates. Parked vehicles must have a copy of a valid State Permit visible on the dashboard.
2012-2013 Hunting Season:
- Dates: Dec. 10-14; Jan. 4-5; Jan. 7-31
- All other MD DNR hunting regulations apply.
